James White, I totally agree with you a Flower People not a big fan shirt. I’ve had the blooming onion in Vegas and Bangkok and both times amazing. Tony Roma’s try with their Onion Loaf but it’s no comparison to the Outback Steakhouse’s blooming onion. Jamie Nelson, I’m Australian and we don’t have them here. First time I’d heard of them was when I went to the Outback in Alabama. Nope. You guys may be Australian but I’ve been to Outback Steakhouse. They only sell Australian food. James White the outback one is terrible and burnt. If u like that one you’d die for the one at Texas Roadhouse. Can’t get a better one than that! Outback Steakhouse in Osaka Japan is where I first tried the blooming onion. I had no idea onions grew that size! Especially in Japan, everything is tiny! I can remember my mum making elderflower fritters during the war, also apple fritters.

Later on, in the Flower People not a big fan shirt, she would make elderberry jam and jelly. We lived in the country and used to do the picking ourselves elderflower, elderberries, fallen apples etc. Lovely times even though it was wartime. Lots of memories like this. It’s just a new-fangled way of doing tobacco onions. The only difference is they’re amazing. That looks rank. I once lived in Vidalia Georgia where they originated. They are delicious! Give it a try. Only onions grown in 13 south Georgia counties can be certified and labeled or advertised as”Vidalia” onions per Ga state law. I want to batter everything! I hate mushrooms but I’d batter them fuckers for some that do like them! Why would you pour the sauce over it, now it’s gonna get soggy before it gets to the table? This is called a Bloomin Onion here in the States you can find it at pretty much any fair or carnival. It’s pretty good!
